Government Working to Improve Security Within The Next Two Months - Senate President
Senate President, Ahmad Lawan says the government is working towards improving security within the next two months. Addressing State House correspondents after visiting President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Lawan said he believes the government is headed in the right direction in its efforts to address insecurity, adding that the government needs to protect all areas, whether rural or urban, to ensure that all Nigerians can feel safe.
Our Correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that the Senate President stressed that the the Federal, state, local governments and traditional rulers all have roles to play to improve the nation’s security. He also disclosed that he discussed the lingering issues of the Niger Delta Development commission (NDDC) with Mr President as it relates with the Commission's governing board nomination and ending the prolonged forensic investigations.
