Lawmaker Says Release Of Chibok School Girls Not For Political Gains

Nigerians have continued to applaud the Federal Government for brokering the release of 82 abducted Chibok schoolgirls by the dreaded terrorist group Boko haram at the weekend.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with our Correspondent, Raliat Adenekan, in Abuja the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Special Duties, Senator Abdul’Aziz Murtala Nyako, who commended the Federal Government for achieving this great feat described as insensitive, unjust and callous comments by some Nigerians that the release of the girls is for political gains by the Governing party; APC.

He said what should be of great concern is the re-integration of the traumatized girls into the society while calling for more concerted efforts to ensure the release of the remaining girls in captivity.

The Lawmaker however raised concerns over the regrouping of the Boko haram members, adding that he believes the Federal Government has done proper assessment in the swap deal as the Armed forces have decimated the book haram forces.
