Military Solutions Not Enough to Address Insurgency - Gov. Zulum

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State Friday met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa, Abuja to brief him on the current security situation in the state, stating that it requires more than Military solutions to defeat insurgency in the North-East.

The Governor who stated this while addressing state house correspondents after the private meeting said that the kinetic measures currently being applied would not be enough to solve the security problems.

Governor Zulum said his administration had resettled more than 100,000 internally displaced persons back to their homes in the state, adding that there is need for the creation of jobs for the youth and the provision of enabling environment for citizens.

Our Correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that the Governor while condemning the destruction of public and private property by hoodlums during the #EndSARS protests, urged Nigerians to always seek dialogue in addressing grievances.
