PTF To Unveil Next Steps Regarding Remaining Phase Of The Eased Lockdown

The Presidential Task Force PTF has said it shall unveil to Nigerians the next steps regarding the remaining phase of the eased lockdown while noting that findings and recommendations have been compiled and would be presented to Mr. President in the 8th Interim Report, shortly.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation/Chairman PTF on on Covid-19 Mr Boss Mustapha who said this during the National Press Briefing noted that federating units have the responsibility for determining the dates and modalities for the safe reopening of schools while the Federal Government provides the guidelines. 

PTF Boss also charged Nigerians to anticipate a possible second wave of the outbreak of the virus, urging them not to loose guards. 

Our correspondent Nathan Williams reports that the National coordinator of the PTF on Covid-19, Dr. Sani Aliyu noted that safety measures must be followed as schools resume which is why the Ministry of education and the ministry of health amongst others are working together to ensure these guidelines are adhered to.

The Director General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu also reiterated the importance and safety of teachers and students.
