The Federal Government has announced the closure of the Third Mainland Bridge in
Lagos starting from midnight of Saturday, October 21 to midnight of Sunday, October
22 to carry out repairs.
Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, in a statement,
said the Federal Ministry of Works, in collaboration with Lagos State, intends to carry
out remedial works on some critical sections of the 3 rd Mainland Bridge inbound Lagos
(Island and Mainland).
Motorists who intend to use the 3rd Mainland Bridge to connect Lagos (or their desired
destinations) have been advised to navigate alternative routes, although Motorists going
outward Lagos Island are free to navigate the 3rd Mainland Bridge since only the inward
traffic will be affected by the temporary closure.
