President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared that Nigeria has achieved its revenue target for 2025, with the bulk of the revenue coming from the non-oil sector.
President Tinubu who made the disclosure while receiving members of The Buhari Organisation (TBO) and founding members of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday, said the revenue target was met in August, owing to economic reforms focused on stimulating the non-oil sector.
Our correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that President Tinubu also revealed plans to establish agricultural mechanisation centres across all regions of the country in order to further boost the economy, .
The leader of the delegation and former Governor of Nasarawa State, Tanko Al-Makura, pledged the group’s loyalty and support, assuring the President of their commitment to the success of the APC government and his ultimate victory in the 2027 elections.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, thanked President Tinubu for his statesmanship and magnanimity towards the people and government of Katsina State.
