FG Has No Plans to Ban any Social Media Platform

News

The Federal Government says it has no plans to ban any social media platform but will not watch any medium throw the country into chaos.

Stating this yesterday while presenting the scorecard of President Buhari’s government from 2015 to 2022, Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed noted that the Federal Government is monitoring Twitter under the new ownership of Elon Musk.

Recall Nigeria last year banned Twitter on the premise that it was used to spread fake news and hate speech, although the ban was rescinded in January after the social media platform agreed to the government’s terms.
