The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted a 44-year businessman, Augustine Justine Emeka, with twelve (12) consignments of COCAINE at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.
A press statement issued on Sunday, by Femi Babafemi, Spokesperson of the Agency, said the suspect, who claims he deals in copper wire, was intercepted and arrested upon arrival from Douala, Cameroon via Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Ethiopia airline with the 12 consignments.
Babafemi said the consignments consisted of seven hundred and ninety-seven (797) pellets of cocaine weighing 17.6 kilograms.
During a preliminary interview, the suspect admitted the cocaine consignments were for delivery to 12 different persons in the country.
