The Anambra State Police Command has disrupted a cult initiation ceremony in Nawfia, Njikoka LGA, arresting six suspects and recovering weapons and other incriminating items.
According to a statement by Police Spokesman SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the June 15 raid was based on intelligence reports. Officers recovered a pump-action gun, live cartridges, cutlasses, a Lexus SUV, charms, and symbols of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity.
The suspects, all males aged 20–30, are currently under interrogation and will be charged to court after investigations. The Command reaffirmed its commitment to tackling cultism and related crimes in the state.
