81 DIVISION IN COLLABORATION WITH THE NIGERIA POLICE EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL TEAM INVESTIGATE EXPLOSION IN MUSHIN AREA OF LAGOS STATE

The 81 Division Nigerian Army is aware of the explosion that occurred at the Metal Scrap Yard in Mushin Area of Lagos State on Friday, 4 Apr 25, which resulted in one fatality and injury to two others.

Accordingly, the Counter Improvised Explosive Devise (CIED) Squadron of the Division has been tasked to liaise with the Nigeria Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team to investigate the source and circumstances which led to the explosion. The team will also inspect the general area to ensure its continued safety. The residents in the general area are advised not to panic and remain calm.

The Division commiserates with the family of the deceased and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.
