Arsenal Edge Newcastle to Boost Premier League Title Hopes

Sports

Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes received a big boost on Sunday with a late 2-1 win against Newcastle United at St James’ Park.

Coach Mikel Arteta praised the team’s courage and resolve after goals from Mikel Merino and Gabriel Magalhaes in the final minutes secured the comeback victory.

Despite a frustrating match with strong goalkeeping from Newcastle and a controversial VAR decision that denied Arsenal a penalty, Arteta believes the lessons learned from the game will help his squad reach the next level. The win lifts Arsenal to second place, just two points behind Liverpool.
