Tina Knowles expressed her disbelief over online criticism directed at her daughter Beyoncé following her Christmas Day halftime performance at the Houston Texans-Baltimore Ravens game.
Sharing her thoughts on Instagram on Dec. 27, Knowles reposted a message that read, “No matter how undeniably talented you are, people will always have something negative to say.”
In her caption, she echoed the sentiment, questioning why anyone would spend Christmas watching a performance they disliked just to criticize it later.
“It’s mind-boggling that someone would spend their holiday fixated on someone they claim to dislike,” she remarked, adding a note of humor with a laughing emoji.
Knowles, 70, a former manager of Destiny’s Child, also addressed those who tuned in just to post negative comments, suggesting they might secretly admire Beyoncé. She urged detractors to focus on other activities in the future, joking they could opt for “goofy cartoons or Bozo the Clown” instead.
Quoting a biblical verse for inspiration, she concluded, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper,” and highlighted the strength she’s learned from Beyoncé’s resilience.
