The annual Classic FM Toy Drive this year, visited the Nigeria Red Cross Motherless and Abandoned Babies Home in Yaba- Lagos, with a collection of toys donated by listeners of Classic FM 97.3.
At the presentation ceremony, the Programmes Director, Chico Aligwekwe who led the team of Presenters noted that the Toy Drive is a way of bonding with radio listeners, to give a sense of belonging to the less privileged in the society, especially during the Yuletide.
While expressing gratitude to listeners who donated toys and other items when called upon, Chico assured that the 13th edition of the Toy Drive would go a long way, despite the hardship experienced in the year.
While receiving the items, Matron of Nigeria Red Cross Motherless and Abandoned Babies Home, Mrs. Olalu Caroline, who hinted of the coincidence that the orphanage was celebrating its 60th Anniversary, being the first in Nigeria, appreciated the kind gesture of everyone who brought cheer to the children.
