Cuba says US forces killed 32 Cuban nationals during a military operation in Caracas that captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. Havana says the dead were Cuban military and interior personnel on official missions and accused Washington of launching a criminal attack.

Cuba declared two days of national mourning and hailed the fallen as heroes who fought US forces.
