The Director-General/CEO of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Bisoye Coker-Odusote, has emphasized that measures are in place to eliminate all forms of extortion, with strict consequences for offenders charging enrollees to pay fees for National Identification Number (NIN).
Speaking at an annual consultative forum with stakeholders yesterday, the DG, represented by her Technical Adviser Ayobami Abiola, reiterated NIMC’s commitment to building a robust and inclusive ID for every Nigerian and legal resident.

In response to concerns about infiltrations of Foreigners in near border towns, she explained that concrete steps are being taken on these issues
