Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has suspended his Special Adviser on Oil and Gas, Felix Osemwengie Isere, over alleged unauthorized fundraising for a planned oil and gas summit.

In a statement on Tuesday, Secretary to the State Government Umar Ikhilor announced the immediate suspension of the summit, originally set for August 7.

Isere has been ordered to refund all funds collected, and donors are advised to cease any dealings with him.
