The Federal Government has issued operational licenses to 11 new private universities in Nigeria, aimed at expanding access to quality tertiary education.
The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, stated that the approval aligns with the Nigerian Education Sector Renewal Initiative, focusing on priority areas.
The National Universities Commission (NUC) will conduct a comprehensive review of quality assurance mechanisms to ensure licensed institutions meet standards.
The new universities are expected to play a transformative role in shaping Nigeria’s next generation of leaders and innovators.
