FG Denies South East Marginalization in Road Projects

The federal government has debunked a social media publication by Mr. Linus Anagboso, describing claims of South East marginalization in road projects as false and deceptive.

‎Minister of Works, Sen. David Umahi emphasized that President Bola Tinubu is executing a fair and equitable distribution of road and bridge infrastructure across all six geopolitical zones, including major projects in the South East.

‎He highlighted the Cross River-Ebonyi-Benue-Kogi-Nasarawa-Abuja corridor as one of Tinubu’s four legacy projects, with over â‚¦445.8 billion committed and â‚¦108 billion already paid.

‎The minister also listed several ongoing key projects in the region, including works on the 2nd Niger Bridge, Enugu-Onitsha road, Enugu-Port Harcourt road, and Aba-Ikot Ekpene road, among others.

‎Umahi urged the South East to reject divisive rhetoric, support President Tinubu’s administration, and work toward national unity and future leadership through collaboration and truth.
