The federal government has debunked a social media publication by Mr. Linus Anagboso, describing claims of South East marginalization in road projects as false and deceptive.
Minister of Works, Sen. David Umahi emphasized that President Bola Tinubu is executing a fair and equitable distribution of road and bridge infrastructure across all six geopolitical zones, including major projects in the South East.
He highlighted the Cross River-Ebonyi-Benue-Kogi-Nasarawa-Abuja corridor as one of Tinubu’s four legacy projects, with over ₦445.8 billion committed and ₦108 billion already paid.
The minister also listed several ongoing key projects in the region, including works on the 2nd Niger Bridge, Enugu-Onitsha road, Enugu-Port Harcourt road, and Aba-Ikot Ekpene road, among others.
Umahi urged the South East to reject divisive rhetoric, support President Tinubu’s administration, and work toward national unity and future leadership through collaboration and truth.
