The Federal Government has introduced the Tertiary Institution Staff Support Fund (TISSF), offering loans of up to N10 million to academic and non-academic staff of Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.

Announced by Education Minister Dr. Tunji Alausa, the scheme aims to boost financial stability, welfare, and professional development. Loans are capped at 33.3% of an applicant’s annual gross salary and may be used for transportation, healthcare, or small-scale businesses like poultry farming.
