FG pegs vehicle speed limits at 80km/hr on TMB

News

The Federal Government of Nigeria has pegged vehicle speed limits on the third Mainland bridge at eighty kilometres per hour.

Minister of works, Dave Umahi, officially declared the speed limit yesterday during the official opening of the bridge to the delight of Lagosians, where he was represented by the Federal Controller of Works, Lagos, Engineer Olukorode Kesha.

The Controller however revealed that though the repair is 95 percent complete, the bridge is ready for use just as she advised road users to take ownership of the infrastructure and protect every security installation on the bridge.

Some road users who waited patiently for the opening of the bridge urged the government to always carry out periodic maintenance to avoid deterioration in future.
