The Federal Government says it is working at achieving 77 percent increase on its internally generated revenue to enable it develop the economy, as well as fund critical infrastructure across the country.
Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun who accompanied David Umahi, the Works Minister, made the assertion during an inspection of the Third Mainland Bridge, the Carter Bridge and Iddo Bridge as well as the Lagos Ibadan Expressway.
The Finance Minister restated the commitment of Government to economic growth, and putting policies in place – while blocking leakages previously caused by fuel subsidy.

The Minister of Works, in his remarks, said the President had approved funds for comprehensive works to be carried out on two carriage ways of the third Mainland bridge, among other projects which require urgent attention.

David Umahi who expressed satisfaction with the ongoing repairs at the Third Mainland Bridge, assured that the bridge would become fully functional by the end of April.
