Ibadan Airport Set to Start International Flights by June 2026

Oyo State Government says the Ladoke Akintola International Airport in Ibadan will begin international flight operations by June 2026.

Its Commissioner for Information, Dotun Oyelade, announced yesterday that the international terminal is 15% complete, while major upgrades to the runway and safety systems are underway to modernize the airport and boost both domestic and international travel.

Local flights are already expected to resume by the end of 2025, following regulatory approvals.
