The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma has been sworn in for a 2 nd term. Uzodimma took the Oath of Office yesterday in Owerri, having been announced winner of the state governorship election held in November 2023, by the IndependentNational Electoral Commission.
Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress won the election with 540,308 votes while Samuel Anyanwu of the People’s Democratic Party came a distant second with a total of 71,503 votes.
Among those present at the swearing-in were: President Bola Tinubu; former president, Olusegun Obasanjo; Senate President Godswill Akpabio; House of Representative Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, amongst others.
