INEC expresses concern over delay in submission of observation reports

News

Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, has expressed concern over the delay in the submission of observation reports by some accredited observers.

Speaking at the first quarterly consultative meeting with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), in Abuja, Prof. Yakubu noted that submission of observation report is mandatory; and a condition for eligibility to observe future elections.

Prof. Yakubu urged CSOs to observe the conduct of the primaries to engender political inclusion of women and people with disabilities in Nigeria.
