INEC has ruled that the petition to recall Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan failed to meet the required number of signatures.
The petition got 208,132 signatures, short of the 237,278 needed to proceed.
INEC emphasized that it followed due process, verifying signatures in line with constitutional provisions.
As a result, no further action will be taken on the recall, and a public notice has been issued to inform stakeholders.Â
