John Mahama Sworn in as Ghana’s New President

John Mahama has taken the oath of office as Ghana’s new president in a ceremony attended by world leaders.

The 66-year old Mahama, in his inaugural address, promised a transformative era of governance centered on inclusivity, accountability, and transparency.

Acknowledging the country’s challenges, president Mahama vowed to tackle them decisively, unveiling four critical priorities: economic revival, an enhanced business climate, governance reforms, and a resolute fight against corruption. 

He also announced a 120-day action plan featuring 26 key initiatives to drive these objectives, while urging citizens to unite in a shared commitment to rebuilding the nation.
