The Lagos State Government says it is committed to exploring strategies to curb the menace of quackery in the health sector.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, Doctor Kemi Ogunyemi, stated this yesterday at a Stakeholders Engagement Meeting organized by the Health Facilities Monitoring and Accreditation Agency, HEFAAMA, held at Alausa Secretariat.
Odgunyemi said the state government is committed to engaging and dialogue with stakeholders to address critical matters which include issues relating to registration, fees, issuance, and renewal of certification of health facilities.
She said the scourge of quackery poses a great threat to the delivery of quality healthcare services. Dr. Kemi urged stakeholders to continue to deliberate toward a constructive dialogue to chart a course toward a healthier brighter Lagos.
