The Lagos State Government has set aside five billion naira to develop a new permanent site for the state’s National Youth Service Corps orientation camp.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who announced this today at the Passing-Out Parade and official Closing Ceremony of 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream One Corps Members at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Iyana Ipaja, urged the Corps members to contribute meaningfully to their community of primary assignment and embrace challenges and opportunities, as they serve their fatherland.
The Governor, who also promised automatic employments into the State’s Civil Service for the best 100 Corps members from the Batch ‘B’ Stream One at the end of their service year, donated 100,000 Naira for each member of the batch (to be delivered next week directly into their accounts), a 32-Seater Hyundai Bus (delivered already today), as well as 100 million naira for the NYSC’s officials.
