The Lagos State ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, says the Science Research and Innovation Council (LASRIC) had provided eight hundred million naira in grants for over sixty startups and more than fifty research projects.
The state commissioner, Mr Tunbosun Alake who disclosed this yesterday also revealed that the state is working at reducing the cost of internet connectivity.
He cautioned Lagosians that science and tech has been deployed to most sectors of the state especially in traffic management for the “safe city project” to capture traffic violators on its data base to be penalised appropriately.
To this end a state of the art Modern Data Centre has been established to manage the affairs of the city more effectively, adding that the state has a reliable team to drive cyber security.
