In response to the recent surge in attacks and kidnappings targeting school pupils and internally displaced persons (IDPs), the Defense Headquarters has assured the public of its unwavering commitment to ensuring the safe return of all victims.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja yesterday, the Director of Defense Media Operations Maj. Gen. Edward Buba acknowledged the gravity of the situation, with nearly 200 Nigerians affected by these incidents in the past week alone.

Gen. Buba noted that the military is actively working to counter the tactics employed by terrorists, who are targeting vulnerable populations as potential recruits.

Addressing recent accomplishments, the General said the discovery of a weapon and drone manufacturing facility in Delta state is a significant breakthrough in the fight against insurgency and criminal activities.
