Minister of works directs that a 14-day termination notice be issued to CCECC

News

Works Minister, David Umahi, has directed that a 14-day termination notice be issued to Messrs China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, (CCECC) which is handling the Abia Section of Enugu-Port Harcourt Highway currently undergoing rehabilitation.

Umahi, who gave the directive during an inspection of the work progress at Ozuaku, after the Imo Bridge, revealed that “non-performance” was the reason for termination.

According to Sen. Umahi, the situation where contractors will put blank ranks on site and escalating construction costs by delaying the completion of the project date, will no longer be tolerated.
