Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has left out Ahmed Musa, and Kelechi Iheanacho from his final 23-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
Stanley Nwabali, William Ekong, Calvin Bassey, Olaoluwa Aina, Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Ademola Lookman, Victor Osimhen and Simon Moses made it to the final list as regulars.
However, Chelle added two home-based players in the squad, namely Kayode Bankole and Papa Daniel, while a maiden invitation was extended to Tolu Arokodare.
The Super Eagles who occupy fifth position in the group with three points from four matches, will confront Group C leaders Rwanda in Kigali on Friday, March 21, before taking on Zimbabwe’s Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, four days later.
