The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has clarified that the ban on sachet alcohol in Nigeria is only temporarily lifted until December 31, 2025. 

Its Director Kenneth Azikiwe stressed that the restriction will be fully enforced after that date, and urged the public to ignore claims of a permanent reversal. 

NAFDAC is also continuing public awareness campaigns, emphasizing the prohibition of alcohol sales to minors and the planned phase-out of products under 200 milliliters.
