The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has scheduled a virtual Extraordinary National Executive Council (E-NEC) meeting for Saturday, October 25, 2025, to reassess its 30-day ultimatum issued to the Federal Government. The meeting aims to evaluate the government’s response to unresolved demands, including unpaid CONMESS arrears, excessive work hours, and unfair dismissals.
NARD had issued the ultimatum on September 26, demanding action on welfare issues, promotion arrears, the 2024 accoutrement allowance, delayed rank upgrades, and exclusion from key allowances. The outcome of the meeting could determine whether industrial action follows.
