National Assembly resumes sitting to attend to urgent issues

The National Assembly will reconvene today from its end of first session break, as against Tuesday, July 2.

Chairman, Senate committees on media, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, and Clerk of the House of Representatives, Dr. Yahaya Danzaria, confirmed the resumption, saying the lawmakers need to attend to urgent national and constitutional issues, and to carry out further oversight on the implementation of the Appropriation Act, 2024.

Reports indicate that President Bola Tinubu may transmit the 2024 Supplementary Appropriation Bill to the National Assembly for consideration and passage.
