Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, says it will close the 2023/2024 student loan application cycle on Friday, February 21.

At a news conference yesterday in Abuja, its Managing Director, Akintunde Sawyerr, reassured students who had successfully submitted their applications before the deadline that their applications would be processed, in line with established methods.

Sawyerr said the transition to the 2024/2025 cycle which would commence on Saturday, February 22, was a demonstration of the organisation’s commitment to efficiency, transparency and continuous improvement of the scheme.

According to him, over 215,000 students have directly benefited from NELFUND’s N22.7 billion disbursed to cover institutional fees across 150 institutions.
