Nigeria has moved up three spots to 38th in the latest FIFA men’s world ranking, following a 4–1 win over Gabon and a 1–1 draw with DR Congo, which ended in a penalty loss.
Despite missing out on the 2026 World Cup, these results helped push the Super Eagles ahead. With 1,502.46 points, Nigeria sits fifth in Africa, behind Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Algeria.
The rankings reflect the conclusion of final World Cup qualifiers, and with the Africa Cup of Nations upcoming, Nigeria has a chance to improve further.
