NIPOST Phases Out Cash Transactions by July 2025

Nigerian Postal Service, NIPOST, has announced July 1, 2025, as the deadline to end cash transactions across all its offices nationwide.

Announcing this in a statement yesterday, NIPOST’s director of corporate communications, Frank Alao, said the move is part of reforms aimed at transforming the organisation into a more transparent, efficient, and digitally driven institution.

Alao explained that from July 1, 2025, Customers using post office counters nationwide will be required to use approved electronic channels for all transactions.
