The Joint Action Committee of non-teaching staff unions in tertiary institutions, says it has suspended its ongoing strike for one month, effective from Nov. 5.

JAC comprises of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU), and the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities.

General Secretary of NASU. Peters Adeyemi, said this in a statement yesterday jointly signed by President of SSANU, Mohammed Ibrahim.

Recall that the JAC had directed it members to embark on an indefinite strike on Oct. 28, to demand payment of four months salaries and non- implementation of other demands, after exhaustive deliberations held with the Federal Government.
