The Adamawa State governor, who chairs the PDP convention planning committee, confirmed that the party will hold its elective convention in Ibadan. He made the announcement following a stakeholders’ meeting at the Bauchi State Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro.
The meeting was attended by key party leaders, including governors, the national chairman, former Senate president, and other top officials. Governor Fintiri described the convention as “sacrosanct” and emphasized the importance of the upcoming gathering for the party.
Attempts to get further comments from him on the state of the party were unsuccessful, as his security aides quickly led him away after the briefing.
The announcement signals that the party is moving forward with preparations and that Ibadan will host what is expected to be a critical and high-profile event for the PDP.
