Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Peterside Idah says Nigeria will defeat Gabon in Thursday’s 2026 World Cup play-off in Rabat.

He noted that the Super Eagles have a strong advantage, having lost to Gabon only once in over four decades. Peterside also expressed pride in Nigeria’s talent and urged better management of the team.

He criticized the Nigeria Football Federation for letting disputes over unpaid bonuses escalate but said he believes the team will stay united and focused on qualification.
