The Presidency has fired back at the African Democratic Congress over claims that the Tinubu administration is politicizing the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement released Friday, the ADC accused the government of using Buhari’s passing to improve its public image.
But the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, dismissed the allegations, describing them as “shameless” and “obnoxious.”
Dare accused the opposition party of disrespecting the late president and trying to gain relevance by “dancing on his grave.” He insisted it is the ADC—and not the Tinubu administration—that is using Buhari’s death to draw political attention.
