Following the conclusion of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Côte d’Ivoire, Vice President Kashim Shettima has expressed his commendation for the Super Eagles, acknowledging their remarkable skills displayed throughout the tournament, despite losing the cup to the host nation.
Addressing the Super Eagles team after the match in Côte d’Ivoire, Vice President Shettima noted the strong efforts and inspiring journey of the Super Eagles, stressing the importance of recognizing both victory and defeat in the realm of sports.
The Vice President who also highlighted football as a unifying factor transcending race, region, or religion, however congratulated Côte d’Ivoire on their success while underscoring that Africa, as a whole, emerged as the ultimate winner.
