President Bola Tinubu met privately yesterday with Former head of State, Gen Yakubu Gowon (Rtd) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja to discuss issues bordering on the crisis in the West African regional bloc.

Addressing the press after the meeting, Gen Gowon said he had robust discussions with Mr President, while he clarified the rumors of him being a stumbling block in ECOWAS moves to resolve the regional crisis, stating that all was a miscommunication which has been adequately addressed.
