President Tinubu condemns killing of Soldiers in Abia

News

The Federal Government is reportedly preparing to suspend the payment of import duties on staple food items, drugs, and other essential goods for an initial period of six months.

President Bola Tinubu has condemned, the killing of five Soldiers and six civilians in Abia state last Thursday, by suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

President Tinubu, in a statement he signed, assured that the federal government will come down heavily against those who have made it a habit to needlessly attack the “officers and men of our armed forces”, while noting that the security forces are exercising necessary restraints, which should not be mistaken for weakness.

The president further tasked security agencies not only to fish out the masterminds and perpetrators of the Abia attack, but also those calling on people to stay at home, insisting that their action is nothing but a treasonable offence.
