President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated an 8-man committee on the forthcoming national population and housing census, mandating it to submit an interim report within three weeks.

Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, who represented him at the event yesterday, said the census is crucial for national development, accurate planning, and effective decision-making in healthcare, education, security, and economic planning. 

Our Correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu, who chairs the Presidential Committee, assured that it will deliver its report, and recommend practical solutions for mobilising domestic and international resources to fund the census.
