Nigeria’s First Lady Remi Tinubu has announced a ₦1 billion donation from the Renewed Hope Initiative to support families displaced by the deadly attack on Yelewata community in Benue State.

She made the announcement during a condolence visit to the state at the New Banquet Hall of the Benue State Government House.

This follows a massive attack by gunmen on Yelewata in Guma Local Government Area in June, which claimed over 100 lives and left many others displaced.

According to the First Lady, the intervention is aimed at helping affected families rebuild their lives.
