The Senate, through its committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions has summoned the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Olayemi Cardoso to appear before it.
Chairman of the Committee, Sen. Adetokunbo Abiru made this known while speaking to journalists on Wednesday in Abuja, after a closed-door session, said the CBN Governor is to explain the state of the economy and free flow of Naira at the forex market to the senate.
Also, the Nigerian Senate has again resolved to summon all the SECURITY CHIEFS to an interactive session over the rising cases of kidnapping, terrorism, banditry, armed robbery, killings and other criminal activities across the country.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, who had also directed the Service Chiefs to appear before the legislators next week – assured that this time around, the National Assembly would thoroughly work in collaboration with the executive arm of government.
