Senator Garba Maidoki, representing Kebbi South, expressed confidence that the abducted schoolgirls will soon be rescued.
Speaking on Channels Television, he confirmed that the girls are still within Kebbi South and assured the public they would return in one to two days. Describing the kidnapping as the most unfortunate week of his life, Maidoki vowed to work with authorities to ensure the girls’ safe return.
He emphasized that this situation would not mirror the Chibok tragedy, as efforts to rescue the girls are already underway. Security agencies have been deployed, and Vice President Kashim Shettima visited the area to reinforce the government’s commitment.
