Sharon Osbourne revealed that she removed a well-known band from the lineup of Ozzy Osbourne’s final concert with Black Sabbath, held on July 5 at Villa Park in Birmingham, England.
Speaking to Billboard, Sharon explained the decision came after the band insisted on profiting from the event, which she felt was inappropriate. “It’s not the time to make a profit,” said Sharon, who manages both Ozzy and Black Sabbath. “After the show, I’ll reveal who it was. People will be shocked.”
She described a tense conflict with the group’s manager, calling it one of her worst experiences in years. “He’s spreading lies because I kicked his band off the bill,” she told Metal Hammer.
Despite fan speculation, Sharon denied Iron Maiden was the band in question. “Ozzy has nothing but respect for them,” she said.
The “Back to the Beginning” concert featured performances from rock legends like Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, and Slayer. Black Sabbath played classics like “War Pigs” and “Paranoid,” while Ozzy also performed solo hits including “Crazy Train” and “Mama, I’m Coming Home.”
The show marked the band’s first full performance since their 2017 farewell tour, also in Birmingham.
